Everest Panorama with Sherpa Cultural Trek
The Everest view trekking also called Everest panorama trek, Everest trekking which starts after 35 minutes flight from Kathmandu to Lukla airport. Flight journey to Lukla is very interesting and give panoramic beauty including view of world’s highest Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Shisha Pangma, Nuptse, Ghaurisankar, Mt. Makalu and many more Nepal and Tibet Himalayan Peaks.
Everest view trekking is suitable for anyone so this trek name is also given Everest trek that means who have short holiday for Nepal and they would like to see Mt. Everest, Sherpa people hometown and Buddhist monasteries they choose Everest view trekking it goes until Tengboche / Tyangboche monastery.
Tengboche Monastery is the largest Buddhist monastery in the Khumbu region. It was recently rebuilt at great expense after being destroyed by a fire. Tengboche is very popular so hotel / lodges early afternoon will be book over because there are very limit hotels but every trekker goes from Namche to tengboche and after returning from Everest base camp & Kalapathar they stay night at tengboche too so it is always busy.
Without any hiking experience a lot of backpackers will be able to do Everest view trekking. The trek winds its way through traditional Sherpa’s villages, Buddhist monasteries, snow-capped peaks and offers viewing of a diverse range of wildlife and vegetation. This trek provides you the opportunity to explore the lifestyle of the Himalayan people, their religion, customs and traditions. Alluring birds like the golden eagle, snow pigeon, red-billed and yellow-billed choughs and flowers like rhododendron, magnolias, blue pine, chir pine, juniper and hemlock make the trekking a delightful for nature lovers.
ITINERARIES
Day 01- Arrival in Kathmandu, pick up from the airport and transfer to hotel, rest and refresh for couple of hour and complete the official formalities.
Day 02- Guided tour around Kathmandu valley. This day sightseeing tour will take you to visit all the major historical and cultural monuments of Nepal and necessary preparation for the treks.
Day 03- Fly to Lukla at 2840m., and trek to Phakding 2610m. The trail is gentle descends first up to Thado Koshi then gradual climb up to the first camp site via Dudh koshi river bank.
Day 04- Trek to Namche Bazaar at 3440m., Namche Bazar is main commercial town of Khumbu region as well as gate way to Mt. Everest. Before head to further your journey you will have chance to experience about real Sherpa culture.
Day 05- Acclimatize in Namche Bazar, morning visit Everest view point form there you will have first glimpse of Mt. Everest and stunning views of other mountains - Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Khantenga, Thamserku and more. After an hour enjoying with splendid views back to tea house for rest and enjoy visiting Sherpa’s carnival market.
Day 06- Trek to Tengboche at 3860m., after breakfast at Namche Bazar your trek start via gentle ridge walk of the town and descent to the Dhudh Koshi River at Phunkithanka, after crossing the bridge from there the trail goes climb up to the Tengboche.The Monastery of there is the main attraction during the Mani Rimdu festival in November most of the locals and travelers gather for the celebration. Besides the place offers you panoramic views second glimpse of Mt. Everest.
Day 07- Trek Back Tengboche to Khumjung Sherpa Village, This is the largest settlement village in the Sherpa land where you will have chance to see real Sherpas’ life style and there cultural activities, The village has also a high school which is funded by Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation and also an old monastery where they have preserved famous Yeti skull.
Day 08- Trek back to Phakding, the trail again drops to Namche Bazar and have a short tea/coffee stop and continue descending via same route and on the way stop for the lunch break an hour at Jorsale Village.
Day 09- After breakfast from Phakding Village, trek back to Lukla, have a lunch and rest at tea house lodge or afternoon free for personal activities.
Day 10- Early in the morning fly back from Lukla to Kathmandu, end the trip and transfer to hotel.
Day 11- Free day in Kathmandu for personal activities- shopping/ sightseeing or transfer to airport for International departure
